Canyon Castator lives and works in Los Angeles. He experiments with cartoonish figures that emotionally remind him of people closest to him, as well as famous figures of contemporary life. Deeply drawn into the abilities of representation, he rejects style, creating his paintings from everything and anything. The common denominator is the power of context; humorous and simultaneously tragic situations that his protagonists find themselves in, without even realizing it. Given the opportunity to participate in the happenings within his painterly world, we rediscover the truth within the chaos that those sentimentally familiar scenes remind us.
