Cristina de miguel (b. Seville, 1987) lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. She takes a visceral approach to painting, where the emotional prevails over the rational. Her work bases its sources on literature, her own life and absurd. Cristina de Miguel has studied Fine Arts at the University of Seville, spending a year in Athens, Greece. In 2013, she received a Master of Fine Arts from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn.
